Anderson School of Dance was founded in 1972 by Brenda R. Oehmig. Her goal was to inspire the youth of Anderson through dance, performance, and education. Anna B. Giles and Kathryn K. Yon are proud to carry on the tradition of excellence in dance training.

Anderson School of Dance is committed to providing students of all ages, levels, and backgrounds who have a desire to dance with

an unparalleled education built on a foundation of classical ballet, jazz, and tap. Through Anderson School of Dance's program, students develop a diverse set of skills including artistry, creativity, discipline, and confidence.

Meet Your Directors

Kathryn K. Yon and Anna B. Giles have been working together since 2005 and became co-owners and directors of Anderson School of Dance in 2012. They both received their professional training certifications from Dance Masters of America and are thrilled to be able to share the gift of dance with all ASD students.
